About Us

When asked why others found him unique, Nip responded “because I enjoy practicing law.” The fact that J. Calvin “Nip” Jenkins Jr. enjoys his practice provides ample explanation for how he has remained amongst the area’s best at it for over 40 years.

Jenkins will admit he shudders to think that it was more than three decades ago that he graduated Cum Laude from the University of Baltimore Law School and became admitted to the Maryland State Bar Association.  Since then, Jenkins has spent his entire career providing dedicated service to the state of Maryland. Jenkins has worked in the U.S. District Court of Maryland, the U.S. Court of Appeals, and served as the President of the Baltimore County Bar Association.

Jenkins is a distinguished presence away from the courtroom as well. A former Eagle Scout, Jenkins remains an avid outdoorsman. Jenkins is a passionate fisherman who spends a good deal of his free time deep sea fishing. Jenkins enjoys swimming as well, although when it is not of a necessary accord due to boating mishaps. Aside from being an attorney, Jenkins has worked professionally as a professor of Business Law at Towson University and was formerly an active duty member of the U.S. Army Medical Corps.

Jenkins has four children and two grandchildren with his wife of 39 years, Catherine. He is a lifelong resident of Baltimore County, and will likely remain so barring an unforeseen divorce with his love of Country Club of Maryland soft-shell crabs.
